Nothing is crueller than children who come from good homes.

and No, this will not be another book review blog post.
in fact, I havent been reading since dracula. I mean, I've tried grotesque, by  natsuo kirino she's even more depressing and unlikeable than  maragret atwood (and I like margaret atwood) maybe if i'd read it in japanese it would ve been better but ANYWAY
go here==> My plug in baby crucifies my enemies to check out what the busy bee has spending my time on.
also I like duffy.
today sali and i went to the hari raya pasar malam and squealed over clothes clothes and more
clothes, over priced henna tattoos which we didnt get in the end, and FOOD, and ICEY COLD DRINKS
I really liked this white cottonny kebaya with a gorgeous shade of dark green skirt which i am
currently in love with AND ALSO costs 80 sing and by the time i get the money for it the shop
will have gone back to indonesia. cries
Sali 's in love with the loveliest white bag with very sweet lining which cost 38sing, shopkeeper
offered to sell at 32, so I am urging her to settle for nothing more than 30. which means that
sali u gotta ask for 25 first (or so my mom says!!!!)
I'm helping paul with some church thing for international youth day rally and we're like
doing all these songs and working with cool people. im supposed to be the backup
singer. My first session with them I was really
nervous but I warmed up a little towards the end. theres this song i forget the title which
suits nobodys vocal range but mine so I hope i get to solo for it. *hint hint* LOL self assignment

Dracula
By Bram Stoker
was a very.... interesting read. I finally got to it after its collecting dust upon my shelf for some years. I have a curious disease. Its called buymanymanybooksatonegoandnotreadthemtillafewyearslater.  whew.
it was less creepy in the japanese-horror-movie way than I expected, but it did manage go instill in me a sense of gothic dread... but then again, it was all the rage in london at stokers time, so I imagine they all had a ball of a time with yet another horror novel.
the thing which set me off a little was how in-your-face the book was. Like, if the situation appears to be thus so, then it is, in fiction, so. Which made the plot just a little predictable and boring, and the characters a little too one dimensional.
This isn't to say it wasn't a good book, evidently stokers talent in writing lay elsewhere. His story telling and descriptive skill and character portrayal is quite good.
But the character I liked best was Renfield, the zoophagus. He must have been the most elusive, yet three dimensional character in the book. Three dimensional because he had the most variety of different moods and feelings, times of strength and weakness, swinging in a self struggle between good and evil, and elusive because, as he was a madman, I may never know when he was really being mad or when he was being sane. But nevertheless I found his conversation entertaining (good-bye my dear, I pray god I may never see your sweet face again. may he bless and keep you!) and his ways so absurd( His method of tidying(his room) was peculiar; he simply swallowed all the flies and spiders (his pets) in the boxes before I could stop him. It was quite evident that he feared, or was jealous of, some interference. when he had gone through this disgusting task, he said cheerfully, let the lady come in!)that I always found myself laughing aloud(receiving curious/annoyed stares from my parents!)
Alas, he died in the end, killed by the Count. My only solace was that he died a good man. I liked him very well.

Scales and Arpeggios

Do me so do, so do me do
Every truly cultured music student knows
You must learn your scales and your ar-pe-ggi-Os
Hear the music ringing from your chest and not your nose!
When you learn your scales and your arpe-ggi-Os

LOL not helping.
I wonder why I'm having so much trouble with scales and arpeggios =((
And exam in 2 days time, cry, Lizzie please buckup!
